The SLC Lunatics & Clubhouse on South Temple are joining forces to make an impact by hosting a benefit market in support of Palestine. This collaborative effort is driven by a shared commitment to humanitarian aid & a call for ceasefire. 100% of the market proceeds will be donated to relief aid in Gaza, where it is desperately needed. Please join us in support, at The Salt Souk. 🪔

Souks, vibrant & bustling markets, are an integral part of the cultural fabric of many societies around the world. Historically, they have served as centers of trade, commerce, & social interaction for centuries. The origins of souks can be traced back to ancient times, with records dating them back as far as the Roman Empire & the Silk Road era. In these markets, merchants from diverse backgrounds converged to share & deal goods, fostering cultural exchange & economic growth.

In the context of Palestine, souks hold a particularly special significance. These market bazaars, are not only places of trade, but also symbols of resilience & community. Souks in Palestine embody the perseverance of a people determined to preserve their heritage, even in the face of adversity; making these gatherings a vital part of the Palestinian identity & a testament to the enduring spirit of it’s people.

Guest Entry: $3 ( cash or Venmo upon entry )

What To Expect: A fantastic array of SLC purveyors, including makers, artists, treasure hunters, affiliates of the obscure, live music, local food, & more!
