Living an Inspired Life
“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.”
For all the talk about the benefits of mindfulness these days, there’s little said about perhaps the most significant benefit of all: mindfulness can help us to live life from our deepest truth and to express that truth powerfully in the world. What’s more, no two truths, no two expressions are exactly alike. As Martha Graham so precisely points out, our offering to the world is utterly unique. If we don’t find the courage to express it, the world will never have it.
Join us at Lower Lights Sangha on May 17th for a soulful exploration of how we might live a more inspired life. Through meditation, reflective journaling and witnessing one another’s journey, we will collectively create supportive conditions that allow us all to more deeply align with what we are uniquely here to do.
*Please bring pen, paper, and blankets/cushions for nesting on the floor if you prefer that to a chair.
