Ends April 26, 2017
7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Clubhouse on South Temple
Whether we use the language of “I and the Father are one” in the Christian tradition or “to study the self is to lose the self” in Buddhism, there is a current that runs through the wisdom traditions pointing to a universal oneness beneath the surface of appearances. Paradoxically, in the Many, we are One.
In this gathering, we will practice accessing this “One Taste” in meditation, that is, having a direct experience with it rather than merely talking about it. What we find is that the more deeply we can experience unity, the more exciting and enlivening our differences become.
*In order to help with venue costs and event production, we are asking for a $10 contribution, $5 for those in financial need.
**WATER BOTTLE REMINDER:
We are collecting water bottles for the homeless. If you have a spare water bottle (or many!) that you can donate, please bring it to this gathering. After the formal program, a small group will go downtown to distribute the water bottles to different homeless communities.
